Cohesity has completed its merger with Veritas’ enterprise data protection business to become the world’s largest data protection software provider.
The newly combined entity boasts an impressive customer base of more than 12,000 enterprises, including more than 85 percent of Fortune 100 companies and nearly 70 percent of the Global 500.
Completed on December 11, 2024, the merger has created a data protection powerhouse with annual revenue exceeding US$1.7 billion and an annual recurring revenue (ARR) of US$1.5 billion.
Even more remarkable is that Cohesity is the fastest company in the data protection space to surpass US$1.5 billion in revenue, achieving this feat in just 11 years.
“By combining Cohesity’s scale-out architecture and strong generative AI and security capabilities with Veritas’ broad workload support and extensive global footprint, our customers and partners stand to gain more value from their data than ever,” said Sanjay Poonen (top), President and CEO of Cohesity.
The company has assured all customers of continued support for existing products from both Cohesity and Veritas for years to come.
