Synology has shown at Computex that it is more than just about data storage devices — it has evolved into a full-fledged data management and productivity solution provider.
At the Taipei event last week, the company showcased enterprise-grade storage, advanced data protection, AI-powered surveillance solutions, private and personal cloud, and collaborative productivity tools.
“Our goal has always been to build a data management ecosystem our
customers can trust. We design our solutions to offer not only unparalleled ease of use, but also industry-leading security, reliability, and data privacy, empowering both organisations and individuals to manage their data with confidence,” said Philip Wong, Chairman and CEO of Synology.
PAS7700 Sets a New Benchmark
The PAS7700 is Synology’s flagship all-flash enterprise storage platform engineered for mission-critical workloads. It features a dual-controller, active-active architecture for uninterrupted operations and leverages an all-NVMe design to deliver up to two million IOPS and sub-millisecond latency — tripling the performance of previous Synology models.

The platform supports robust data protection with built-in 3-2-1-1 replication that ensures data integrity and resilience against failures or cyber threats.
ActiveProtect DP7200 Expands Coverage
Synology also expanded its ActiveProtect lineup with the DP7200 appliance. The DP7200 can be deployed as a standalone backup server at branch locations or as a central management system at headquarters.
It offers unified protection for diverse workloads, with features such as built-in immutability and network isolation to ensure clean, recoverable copies in the face of ransomware and other cyber risks.
C2 Surveillance centralises monitoring
On the surveillance front, there’s the C2 Surveillance cloud-based video management system (VMS) designed for rapid, NVR-less deployment and seamless multi-site scalability.

C2 Surveillance can monitor up to 30,000 cameras across locations, with centralised management, Windows AD integration and granular permission controls. AI-powered search and analytics streamline incident response, while local edge recording and offline failover modes ensure uninterrupted monitoring, even during network outages.
Productivity and Collaboration tools
With the growing demand for secure, private productivity solutions, Synology has introduced ChatPlus for team communication and Synology Meet for enterprise-grade video conferencing.
Both run on Synology’s private cloud infrastructure, empowering enterprises to retain full control over their data and communications. These tools complement the Synology Office Suite, which now features AI-powered search, content creation and summarisation, all within a privacy-first environment.
BeeStation Plus for personal cloud
For families, Synology has the BeeStation Plus private cloud solution that supports automatic iCloud Photo Library backup, Plex Media Server integration for seamless streaming, and snapshot-based local recovery.

When paired with Synology’s CC400W camera, the solution also enables smart home surveillance, complete with AI-driven detection of people, pets, and ambient events.
Beyond Storage
While Synology’s roots are in storage solutions, it has transitioned to become a wholistic technology partner in the data-driven era.
