Infosys and Telstra are combining forces to deliver AI-enabled cloud and digital solutions for Australian businesses.
The joint venture will see Infosys acquire a 75 percent stake in Versent Group, a provider of digital transformation services and a wholly owned subsidiary of Telstra. Telstra will retain a 25 percent minority stake in Versent Group.
Infosys will assume operational control of Versent Group, which employs a team of 650 engineers, advisors and strategists, and serves major clients across government, education, finance, energy, and utility sectors.
The partnership aims to leverage Infosys’ advanced AI capabilities — including its Topaz and Cobalt solutions — and Telstra’s connectivity to deliver secure, resilient and innovative digital transformation offerings tailored for Australian enterprises and government organisations.
“Our collaboration with Infosys reflects our confidence in the value we can unlock together. Their global scale, deep industry knowledge, and culture of innovation and service excellence will be instrumental in accelerating Versent Group’s growth and impact across the region,” said Vicki Brady, Chief Executive Officer of Telstra.
“Expanding our trusted collaboration with Telstra, with whom we share a valued relationship, unveils a new opportunity to further accelerate the innovation agenda for enterprises across the region,” said Salil Parekh, Chief Executive Officer of Infosys.
