Harrison.ai launches CT Chest AI tool

Sydney-based Harrison.ai has launched its CE-marked CT Chest advanced AI tool that supports clinicians in detecting 167 radiological features in chest scans, including life-threatening conditions, tumours and chronic diseases.

Designed to prioritise critical cases and speed up interpretation with confidence scores, the tool functions as a safety net, reducing missed or underdiagnosed conditions, especially in emergency and inpatient settings.

Harrison.ai CT Chest identifies and highlights nine critical findings, such as pulmonary embolism, acute aortic syndrome, pneumothorax, and acute rib fractures.

Its intelligent algorithm localises pathology within scan slices and overlays interpretations, helping clinicians reach urgent cases faster. The solution plays a significant role in cancer screening by assisting in earlier detection of lung, gastric and pancreatic cancers and helping with staging and monitoring of suspected lesions.

By consolidating multiple point solutions into a single platform, th solution supports radiologists through streamlined reporting and workflow enhancements, expected to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs and raise quality of care in both public and private healthcare environments.

“After the successful market penetration of our chest X-ray AI solution, expanding into CT chest was a natural next step,” said Aengus Tran, Co-founder and CEO of Harrison.ai.

“We’ve seen firsthand how a comprehensive AI solution for a single modality can transform radiology workflows. With CT Chest, we’ve taken the same comprehensive approach to empower clinicians with deeper insights and faster, more confident decision-making,” he added.

CT Chest has received the CE mark which is mandatory for medical devices to be legally marketed and sold within the European Economic Area, which covers EU member states and some additional countries.

It assures users and healthcare professionals that the product is safe for its intended use, performs as intended, and adheres to rigorous compliance standards.

The CE mark also means the manufacturer has undergone conformity assessments, implemented quality management systems, and maintains ongoing post-market surveillance to ensure continued safety and effectiveness.
