SoundHound AI and Tencent Intelligent Mobility have joined forces to deliver advanced conversational AI solutions to intelligent cockpits of major automotive brands worldwide.
The collaboration aims to integrate SoundHound’s voice AI technology with Tencent’s smart mobility platform to enhance in-car experiences for drivers and passengers across diverse markets.
It will focus on providing localised, high-quality voice AI capabilities in more than 25 languages, enabling seamless, natural conversations for users in vehicles equipped with intelligent cockpits.
By leveraging both companies’ expertise, carmakers will be able to offer drivers hands-free access to navigation, entertainment and real-time information through intuitive voice commands.
Tencent’s smart mobility solutions are already adopted by more than 100 carmakers and expected to be in more than 15 million vehicles by the end of 2025. These solutions will now be further enhanced by SoundHound’s conversational AI.
The integration is expected to accelerate the adoption of AI-powered smart cockpits globally, supporting features such as personalised assistance, real-time information retrieval and integration with popular Tencent apps like WeChat and Tencent Video.
