Juniper Systems has released the Mesa 3 rugged tablet for use in rugged handheld computing and data collection.
Available and shipping worldwide, the device is powered by a quad-core Intel Pentium processor to provide the speed and flexibility field engineers and specialists need to run processor-intensive applications. It comes with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of flash storage to run demanding tasks, large spreadsheets, and multiple programs concurrently.
The Microsoft Windows 10-based tablet has a hot-swappable battery with up to 10 hours of life on a single charge.
Like its predecessor, Mesa 3 is rated IP68 and passed MIL-STD-810G tests, making it waterproof, dustproof, and shockproof to ensure data protection in even the harshest environments.
“We test our devices to match the demanding environments that our customers work in every day. This isn’t a consumer tablet in a hard case. The case is the device and it was built from the ground up to be that way,” said Simon Bowe, Managing Director of Juniper Systems.
