NVIDIA unleashes US$199 Jetson Orin Nano

NVIDIA has introduced the Jetson Orin Nano system-on-module that deliver up to 80x the performance over its predecessor.

Available in January from US$199, the module processes up to 40 trillion operations per second (TOPS) of AI performance.

“Over 1,000 customers and 150 partners have embraced Jetson AGX Orin since NVIDIA announced its availability just six months ago, and Orin Nano will significantly expand this adoption,” said Deepu Talla, Vice President of Embedded and Edge Computing at NVIDIA.

Customers need not wait till January to start developing for the Orin Nano. They can use the AGX Orin developer kit, thanks to full emulation support. This lets them design one system to support multiple Jetson modules and easily scale their applications.

The Orin Nano modules, which will come in 4GB and 8GB versions, are supported by the NVIDIA JetPack software development kit and powered by the same NVIDIA CUDA-X accelerated computing stack used to create breakthrough AI products in such fields as industrial IoT, manufacturing and smart cities.

The NVIDIA Jetson ecosystem comprises more than one million developers, 6,000 customers and 150 partners. Jetson partners offer a wide range of support from AI software, hardware and application design services to cameras, sensors and peripherals, developer tools and development systems.
