If you’ve been inundated with WhatsApp notifications, the messaging platform has just introduced a magic word — “Always”. Instead of the previous maximum muting duration of one year, you can now mute chats forever.
You no longer need to deal with an annual update every time that yearly mute expires. For those who have lots of active chats — whether with individuals or groups — this is definitely a long awaited feature.
The new options for muting notifications are “8 hours”, “1 week” and the magical “Always”.
You still have the option on whether you want notifications to be shown for that chat or not.
What’s best is that this new feature is available across all platforms — Android, iOS and web.
