Avast survey: 1 in 5 smartphone photo is terrible or a duplicate

The average person stores 952 photos on their smartphone, of which 22 percent are of bad quality, blurred, dark, or duplicates, according to an Avast survey.The research of 45 countries also revealed that users store an average of 292 WhatsApp images and 86 screenshots.

Surprisingly, it’s not the millennials who are saving the most photos.  Those aged 25 to 44 have more than 1,000 images on their phone memory. Women store about 200 or 24 percent more photos than men.

South Korea and Malaysia topped the survey with 1,417 and 1,300 photos per person. At the other end of the scale, folks in Vietnam average just 397 photos.
