SolarWinds has appointed Aten Lim (above) as Managing Director, Asia-Pacific and Japan (APJ), and Sara Kao as Marketing Director, APJ to chart the region’s sales and marketing strategies.
Their appointment reinforces the company’s commitment to strengthening business activities, partnerships and support in the region.
In the newly created role, Lim will be driving business strategy to attain the next phase of growth and expand the company’s footprint in APJ. Prior to SolarWinds, Lim was Regional CEO of Greater China and Global VP at SAP. He also held leadership positions in NCS Group, Lenovo and Hewlett-Packard.

After working in IT across Asia for over 20 years, I’m ready to share my formula for success with the team and help customers in the region accelerate their digital transformation journeys,” said Lim.

New APJ Marketing Director Kao will be leading the company’s regional marketing efforts. With more than 17 years of marketing and business development experience, Kao previously led the Prisma Cloud Marketing, JAPAC, team at Palo Alto Networks and the global alliances marketing team at Google Cloud.
